As part of my work with Create Growth N2 as part of their small business support, I interviewed Wingshan Huntley – artist, game designer, and creative force behind Twisted Spire – to tell the story of how she’s reimagining tabletop gaming from right here in Nottingham.
Wingshan is part of the team at Warp Miniatures, a family-run business that’s been crafting fantasy miniatures and games for over a decade. With support from CGN2, she’s now building a new sister brand, Twisted Spire – a space for inclusive storytelling, immersive tech, and hybrid play experiences that challenge the norms of the tabletop world… including a new coven of vengeful mermaids!
In our one-on-one interview, we explored how Nottingham’s Lead Belt legacy continues to shape the global gaming scene – and how CGN2’s free expert support helped Wingshan develop her business strategy, pitch for funding, and scale her creative vision.
This case study was crafted to highlight the human story behind the innovation, the impact of local support, and the power of inclusive design in the creative industries.
